'Fifty Shades of Grey' Porn Parody Will Be Written/Directed by Mr. Filth. How Romantic.

Gawker broke the news that the "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy is getting pornified, and while this isn't a surprise (there isn't much out there that hasn't already been butchered into a parody) it does appear to be the first adult film spoof that makes a lick of sense.

For those of you unfamiliar with the "Fifty Shades" phenom, Book 1 of the erotic series hit shelves earlier this year and turned sex-starved housewives and Twilight fans into ravenous readers. The books follow a meek, mousy young woman who catches the eye of an Adonis businessman with a giant cock who (GASP!) happens to be a hardcore dom seeking his next sub.
Her purity and awkwardness bewitches the sexual deviant, however, and the two end up falling head over heels in love with each other, and the books' graphic and titillating accounts of mind-blowing orgasms, bondage and domination, and expensive gift-giving have left readers needing a cigarette and a costume change.

And while parodies are the only way adult film studios can make any money these days, making a "Fifty Shades" version is truly the only way to put the three erotic novels on film in their BDSM glory without MPAA censorship and film industry finger-wagging.

And so "50 Shades: a XXX Adaptation" was born from porn studio Smash Pictures. The film will star a series of porn stars who may or may not matter to you - Allie Haze will be virginal main character Ana while Ryan Driller will fill the shoes of sex god Christian Grey - and is supposed to combine all three books into one easy-to-swallow porno.
So AfterDarkLA sat down with Smash exec Stuart Wall to find out how a bunch of dudes plan to recreate every housewife's fantasy without getting too porny.
"This year we started branching off into the romance line of adult shoots," Wall said. "Porn seems to have changed and I get more fan mail from women than men these days. Since they are going to make a mainstream [film] of the books, too, dabbling in the adult world we're choosing to go with a XXX adaption which will stay very true to the book and its S&M-themed romance."
Wall says the entire cast is reading the books as we speak, and director Jim Powers is writing the script to be as close to the series as he can get. Powers is known in the adult film industry for his versatility and has managed to pump out anything from hardcore gonzo to comedy features while staying on budget. His past work with raunchy studio JM Productions (think bukkake and lots of anal) is a bit of a stretch from the goopy romantic themes he currently embraces for Smash Pictures, but the fact that Powers is tearing through the final chapters of Book 3 shows he's devoted this delicate craft. Twilight turned titillating.
"Just from our Twitter and the few news stories so far, the response seems to show that this just might be our biggest film to date," Wall said.
The rest of the cast includes Julia Ann, Alexis Ford and Tyler Nixon. If any of those porn names ring a bell. Look out for an official release in mid-September.
