Artists Explore Sexual Perversions at JANCAR Gallery

Daniel Rolnik

As I walked into JANCAR Gallery this month, I was greeted at the door by a gaping pussy. Or, rather, one seamlessly attached to a stuffed animal by the artist Micol Hebron -- who, just a few months ago, wrapped up her solo show in the same space.

However, at that time, she had the whole gallery row of Chung King Road talking about her vaginal fountain composed of crystals, instead of her hilarious puppy on the verge of a queef.

I'm Taking What They Giving 'Cause I'm Hooking for a Livin'

The powerful and industrious working women of the night got their moment in the sun in a dual-action, two-part 'hooker salute' starting with the Miss Hooker Pageant last Friday at the Dragonfly in Hollywood and culminating with the HOOKERS group art exhibition that opened to the public Saturday night in Culver City.

All of this prostitution-al madness was choreographed by L.A. native and hooker enthusiast, Natalia Fabia.

"It must of been about 10 years ago, I just started calling my friends hookers; just like someone would call someone 'dude', like, 'Hey hooker!' Then I looked up a definition one year, and it said: A hooker is someone who sells their talents and abilities for money. [...] and I feel like everyone is like that."

You still can't tell when she's faking, can you?

No matter how quickly technology and science seems to have evolved in our lifetime, there are still so many unanswered questions when it comes to women and sex -- What's the purpose of the female orgasm?, Does the G-Spot really exist?, and most recently, Why do women moan during sex? Although there hasn't been much research conducted on the latter, there is some new information on the topic.

5 Sexy '80s Rockers Rejected by 'Billboard' Journalist Ethlie Ann Vare

ethlie.jpg
Danielle Bacher

By age 22, music author/journalist Ethlie Ann Vare had slept with no less than 75 men, and she had already stopped counting. It was not the sex that meant anything to her; it was the feelings of love and desire, and of being loved and desired in return.

In the early-1980s, Vare was a writer at Billboard magazine working under rock editor Roman Kozak. She attended virtually every concert in town and met countless famous musicians.

She felt like the rock stars she covered and partied with would not be able to fill that void.

"It took me a really long time to understand that just because a man wants you doesn't mean he loves you," she admits. "As I learned over the years, men will fuck sheep. It really isn't an emotional connection for them, especially rock stars, but it was for me."

STELLA!!!! Go do my laundry! But first comes over here and suck on this.

Ladies, the next time you date a man that encourages you to pursue your "career goals," or other feminist propaganda like "equality," do yourself a favor and quit him fast, because what you're searching for is hypothetical B.S.

Yeah, it turns out you don't really want a partner. No, no -- what you really want is a master! What?! You mean you didn't know that?! Me neither!

Abusive or arousing?

Jezebel recently discussed a Pop fashion magazine photograph in which the camera closes in on a nude woman with a man's hand gripped around her neck, to which the author commented, "To call this editorial 'disturbing' is an understatement."

Maybe I'm blind (or effed in the head), but I don't see the issue. My mind immediately associated the image of a man's hand gripped around a throat with sex. "What's the big deal?" I thought to myself.

Street Artists Paint Hot Naked Women for Interactive Art Shows Worldwide

Trisha Angeles
Artist: Jim Mahfood
Eight artists, six models, almost zero clothing. That's the formula for the un-formulaic second White Canvas Project, LA Jam, opening at IAm8Bit gallery tonight in Los Angeles.

Clothing company Supremebeing launched its collaborative White Canvas Project last year, in which street artists Mr. Jago, Will Barras, Bue the Warrior, SheOne and David Walker holed up in an old warehouse outside London for four days transforming walls, wood scraps, old military helmets and other discarded items into art. (Watch the video of the London CamJam here.)

After wandering into L.A.'s IAm8Bit gallery in Silver Lake, Supremebeing director David Newman met 8bit owner Amanda White, fell in love with the space, and another collaboration was born.

For the LA Jam, featuring Jim Mahfood aka Food One, Leba, Kophns One aka Koffinz, Memuco, DSC aka Death Spray Custom, David Walker and SheOne, the artists' unconventional canvases are living nude and nearly nude female bodies.
