KooKoo for Coco
Backstage after the Coco Klicks show, Coco tells me, between kisses from her family members, that her new line was inspired by Mutiny On The Bounty and the exotic beauty of the Tahitian women that lured Captain Bligh's men. Based on a true story, many of those mutineers still live on Pitcairn Island today. "I told my models, think of yourselves as those enchantresses, become godesses. Did that came through?" asks Coco.
Coco refuses to tell me her age. She looks 19. "Just say I'm young," she smiles coyly. We are interupted by a haughty actress, it's Amber Tamblyn of the tv show Joan of Arcadia (which is off the air now.) She wants her picture taken with Coco but doesn't have a camera. She fiddles with her earings impatiently as someone in her group tries to find one. Joan of Little Patience looks like she's going to throw a tantrum. Coco could care less and at one point leaves the actress of the defunct show standing by herself, alone and upset the actress stormed off.
