WORN OUT- BITCHES RULE
I haven't seen Marley & Me, and I don't plan to. My beloved Pit/Boxer mix who passed away last year was also named Marley, and let's just say I can't even watch the commercials without getting misty. Never read the book either, but I know what happens and it sounds like it hits way too close to home.
Big canines are exuberant and comforting companions, and if I get another pet some day it will definitely be a substantial breed. Still, my inner -and outer- girlie girl can't resist the cuteness of the purse size pooch. Instant cuddles where ever ya go, all the colorful little clothing and poops the size of malt balls- what's not to love?

The pink mohawk didn't hurt, nor did the fact that her owner is a hottie.
Which brings us to the Worn Out question of the month: Is it okay to dye a doggie's hair (however safe it may be)? After all, the animals have no way of telling us how they feel about it. And what about all those outfits Airhead Hilton and her celebutard cohorts put their pets in? Some of 'em have to be uncomfortable. No wonder Tinkerbell ran away.
I'm not quite sure where I stand, but my hubby is adamantly against pet fashion, embellishments and accessories of any kind so despite my style-mongering proclivities, our Marley's wardrobe was always limited to a winter sweater and a rhinestone collar. Okay, she also had deer antlers for Christmas and a Halloween costume, but she never wore 'em longer than it took to snap a photograph. The look on her face as she begrudgingly obliged for my dorky dress up time was priceless. So are the photos I'm left with.
