Digital Pool Party: Digital L.A. at Pagoda Bar
With record heat in Los Angeles it seemed that anyone who had even remote access to a pool had a pool party over the weekend. But what if you didn't have a pool-ready friend or didn't have the cash to plunk down for the Roosevelt or even one of those inflatable numbers?
Miraculously, there's a pool in Hollywood that you don't have to be Nicole Richie or a even a hotel guest to partake in.

Pagoda Bar, a newly opened space at popular L.A. restaurant Yamashiro's is probably one of L.A.'s best kept secrets, and this Sunday also became the best place to network while slathering on sunscreen.
At Digital L.A.'s Digital Pool party the drinks were free (which we didn't find out about until we bought a couple rounds), the cupcakes were Sprinkles in honor of Citrusbyte founder Will Jessup's birthday, and the topic of conversation ranged from the upcoming Word Press User's conference Wordcamp LA on September 12th to the Uva Bella, an "off-the-menu" drink item at the SLS hotel brought to our attention by Former SLS bar manager Ben Browning. One thing about poolside networking, there were no cheesy business card holders in sight
Formerly a Sales Developer at MySpace, L.A. tech figurehead Kevin Winston is now devoted full-time to making Digital L.A. the definitive venue for the L.A. tech, a.k.a the tech community to the stars.
The frequency of his mixers is increasing, and Winston has hosted several seminal events in the past couple of months including a similar pool party event at the W hotel Hollywood and a Digital L.A. Digital Drinks at San Deigo's Comic-Con, building his Digital Empire, coming soon to a poolside bar near you.
