Whenever someone tells me that Sex and the City is about female friendship, I politely tell them they are full of crap and refer them to The Golden Girls. Those septuagenarian bitches knew what was what. They didn't traipse around a major metropolitan city in five-inch stilettos. They didn't squander their hard-earned cash on designer apparel. No, they were mensches. They weren't just about shopping. They were about heart and soul and about what remains when youth declines.
Illustrator Jacqueline Bos made this zine homage to Blanche, Rose, Sophia and Dorothy. It is entitled "I Heart the Golden Girls."
