Rick Araluce's Tiny Rooms of Mystery

Rick Araluce makes tiny diorama roomboxes. He's often compared to assemblage artist Joseph Cornell. At his most recent show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery here in Los Angeles, Araluce told me that he goes a little nuts making these pieces. (For more stories about Araluce, check out my piece in Candyland). They range in price from several hundred dollars to several thousand.
This one is called "The Revenge of Silence."
