Long before Harry met Sally, there was Ernst Lubitsch's Trouble in Paradise, one of the first romantic comedies ever made. Released prior to the Production Code of 1934, Trouble in Paradise is a wonderfully amoral story of two con artists, Gaston and Lily, whose relationship becomes complicated when Gaston starts falling for the mark. See a "meet cute" done right at 1 p.m. at LACMA's Bing Theater.
