Here, here. Well said! As Gore Vidal once said...

"It makes no difference who you vote for - the two parties are really one party representing four percent of the people."

Peace,
Ernest

Yeah, and don't forget Frederick Douglass. To paraphrase: "The Centennial can bite my ass!"

Thank you. I needed that. Couldn't have said it better myself.

as the Fish knows, i love his work.
Yet, i don't know if i agree with the premise. I don't know if i would put Rev Wright in the same league as others mentioned.
But, the shunkin and jiving of Obama is very real and very necessary and very common among anyone running for Prez. BliHarry is far more obvious at this game. That is why Obama is the front runner. The "young" voters that Obama are winning over have yet to have 3-4 prez election cycles behind them to know it is out of our control anyway.

"I'm Hillary Clinton, and I approve this message."

The reverend is likley not in the same league as Malcolm X et al, but he speaks truth to power. That makes him a damn sight better than most. You know you are probably doing something right when an aspiring president distances himself from you for fear of backlash from a racist power structure.

Hi Mr. Fish, fu too! You are way too cute!
If i could answer you in a cartoon-
i would draw one of your piles and have you talking from
inside!
Again, you are way too cute! DB

Mr. Fish,
It is disappointing to see Barak, who speaks so eloquently about human potential, fairness, etc., to turn tail and take a beating over the Rev. Wright business.
But isn't your contempt more correctly directed at the media and stupid people who blew the Wright thing way out of proportion?
Were Barak to just ignore the Wright debacle or stand firm and defend Wright's POV, he might as well stop running for Prez.
I want him to be president more than I do Clinton or McCain. It is not possible to become president without some serious compromise. Probably no one truly enlightened would want to be president, but I definitely feel that Obama is the least unenlightened of the pack.
