Ummm....I'm stupid. Could somebody please explain this to me?
Posted On: Thursday, Jun. 25 2009 @ 9:34AMI think the joke is that his name is Gene, not that he is a gene in the human body...
Posted On: Thursday, Jun. 25 2009 @ 11:53AMUmm.. no you're not, the cartoon is. It is a pathetic 1970's Mad Magazine style stereotype, playing a 4th grader style play on the name Gene and Gene as in genetics.

The comic is saying that there is more than one potential Gene contributing to homosexuality, as well as a variety of outside influences. There, I think that sums it up nicely. :-p
Posted On: Thursday, Jun. 25 2009 @ 11:55AMHis name is Gene. (Not like the gene that is in DNA)
Posted On: Thursday, Jun. 25 2009 @ 11:58AMthe homo's name is Gene. scientists searching for the "gay gene" accidentally isolated Gene instead. very clever.

Notice the capital G in Gene. They were isolating all the people named Gene who were gay as opposed to the actual genetic gene (lowercase g because it's not a proper noun). It's a pretty terrible (not funny) pun/comic.
Posted On: Thursday, Jun. 25 2009 @ 12:04PMthe dude with the heart shirt is gay and named gene...he is isolated from the rest of the people...scientific really!
