Gang Worker "Bow Wow" in the Dog House

Call it a career relapse, but Marlo Jones allegedly couldn't remember if he was a gang member or a gang-intervention worker last week, when, police claim, he participated in a 616_1230186555.jpgviolent jewelry heist. Jones and a group of people allegedly robbed a musician from the R&B group Bones Thuggs & Harmony jewelry at the Universal Hilton. KFI reporter-blogger extraordinaire Eric Leonard reports that Jones, whose gang transcripts presented an impressive crime resume, had previously been a controversial choice for employment by the anti-violence foundation Unity One. At the time he was vouched for by L.A. City Councilwoman Janice Hahn and the controversy  was featured last year in a Fox 11 news story.

Jones, not to be confused with a Marvel Comics character by the same name, is currently in jail in lieu of $1.16-million bond. Leonard's story comes with a video clip of the Fox 11 story and an audio file of Leonard's interview with LAPD  Lt. Alan Hamilton. (Story first found on L.A. Observed.)
