Meanwhile, his baby mama x 5 sits in jail, taking the rap for what he commanded her to do. No doubt in my mind he's an abuser and what were they doing out at 0300 hours with a baby? There is no answer. College kids shouldn't be out carousing at 0300 hours either, it goes both ways but the USC students didn't kill anybody. • To the person who said that illegals can't get a legal drivers license, that is not true. Perhaps not a California license but many other states grant them drivers licenses. • It was not so much the "excellent police work": there was a $200,000.00 plus reward for information leading to an arrest ( it probably came from the USC administration for PR reasons ) - and what "friend" of the driver wouldn't jump at that ( so the money will probably end up in the hands of the "husband" to pay his legal expenses ). The Mexican government needs to cease depending on the $25 billion annually sent there by illegal aliens as the second biggest source of foreign capital and to actively begin to get the country together. .

• You cannot get a legitimate California license that actually identifies you as you without the appropriate paperwork. From some other states, they are less stringent. Washington State is one. Also, Luna has a criminal record -- so he would have been deported after a previous arrest. I don't see how any of the racial commentary has much to do with the tragedy that occurred. Hit and Run accidents happen all the time and people panic, do strange things that seem to either be evil, foolish or just make no sense. Frankly, that's the intruiging part of this story and we don't know the answers yet. No matter what, a whole lot of lives and families will suffer -- including the driver's 7 month old baby who will grow up without knowing his parents.

Please remember that in the history of the United States, many a brown skin has been ripped apart in defense of the ideals that brought their parents here. Just like any other group of Americans but for some reason, we will always be illegals to some people. Even those of us who work hard, pay taxes, buy house we can afford, go to schools and try to keep our neighborhoods safe. The heffer and her slime husband should be locked up because of what they did. Period.

The silly oom-pah music, where all songs sound alike; the "quinceanera," in which poor children aspire to dress up and ride around in a stretch limosine; the fat/starch/cerveza laden "cuisine" that instills obesity from an early age; the religion that fetishizes the Virgin Mary while espousing rampant , careless reproduction; the television programs full of wrestlers, dwarves, jiggling women, soap operas; the endless, endless, endless gang battles and machismo-fueled glorification of murder, robbery, violence, rape; the protests that find a million people in the streets on behalf of ILLEGAL immigrants, while next to no one to protest U.S. policies in Iraq; the propaganda about "taking back our land" (by "radicals" who major in "Chicano Studies")----this is latino culture in L.A.. Let's call it like it is. It is banal, it is stupid, it is destructive, and it has the protection of political correctness in the media and popular culture. Of course, what should happen is that the military occupy all parts of L.A. where there is chronic gang violence, whether black, latino, Asian, or white, and eradicate it. Put all gang members in Guantanamo, for life. They are the real terrorist threat to this country. Latino culture in general has become no gift to Southern California.

• Luna will be caught and dragged to jail. Cabrera and Luna will both spend at least 10 years in prison. He will be deported and she will be paroled. Hopefully, the baby will be deported to live with relatives in Mexico. Otherwise, the baby will grow up on the streets of L.A., become a gang member because both parents are in jail, and then spawn a couple of more kids. Next, he/she will kill or hurt someone, go to prison, and the cycle repeats. I don't have the answer, but at some point, the residents of this city need to take a sober look at what the subculture creates. Luna and Cabrera exist because we allow them to live here and commit despicable acts.
