Gallo, who was behind the wheel on probation from a previous DUI conviction, is accused of driving with a blood-alcohol level about three times the legal limit and driving more than twice the posted speed limit at the time of the accident. He's also accused of fleeing the scene. He next returns to court for a pre-trial hearing July 31 and could face between more than 54 years and life in prison if convicted on all counts.
