Sobriety Checkpoints Revealed: Police Will Be Out In Full Force

light-bar.png
Don't get a DUI on NYE. That would be, like, WTF, OMG. (Plus we don't want you injuring anyone we know or love. And, as a California Highway Patrol officer told KTLA News, a drunk-driving arrest will cost you about $13,000 over the course of a case).

The Los Angeles Police Department has sobriety and drivers-license checkpoints checkpoints scheduled for Hollywood (Hollywood Boulevard at Las Palmas Avenue), North Hollywood (Lankershim Boulevard near Chandler Boulevard), and downtown near Staples Center (Olympic Boulevard west of Cherry Avenue and South Figueroa Street between 8th and 9th streets).

And if you're not sure if you're buzzed, you are. But, if you want to get a rough blood-alcohol calculation and you have an iPhone, there's an app for that. We tried it. It's sobering. But don't kill the messenger. Or anyone else for that matter.
