Robbery Suspect Fatally Shot By Police On The Westside
A Culver City police officer fatally shot a robbery suspect near Venice Boulveard and Motor Avenue in the Westside Los Angeles community of Palms, just outside Culver City, authorities said.

Officers on Sunday were responding to a noontime robbery call at a nearby Radio Shack when they spotted a suspect driving erratically nearby and made a traffic stop, said Deputy Jeff Gordon of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which is investigating the officer-involved shooting. The suspect exited the car and apparently made a move interpreted by the officer to be threatening, prompting the cop to open fire.
A gun was found in the proximity of the suspect, officials said. It appears authorities believe the pair had indeed been involved in the alleged robbery. A woman who was with the robbery suspect was arrested on suspicion of murder because she was an alleged accomplice at the time he was killed by the officer.
