'South Park' Episode Takes Cues From L.A.'s Famous KFC Pot Shop

Wednesday night's episode of South Park appears to have been inspired in part by Los Angeles' now-legendary Kentucky-Fried-Chicken-turned-medical-marijuana dispensary in Palms. The pot-shop operators at Exposition Boulevard and Hughes Avenue used the KFC provenance to its advantage, naming the outlet "Kind For Cures" when it opened last summer.

In the episode ("Medicinal Fried Chicken"), the gang makes it usual after-soccer-practice trip to what appears to be a Colorado-area KFC (as our brothers and sisters at Westword note) only to find that the outlet has transformed into a medical marijuana dispensary. Check out the video clip:
