One Killed, One Wounded In L.A. Pot Shop Shooting
One man was killed and another was wounded at a medical marijuana dispensary on Sunset Boulevard in Angeleno Heights Thursday, police said. The shooting in the 1300 block of Sunset Blvd. was reported at 4:13 p.m., said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Eastsider LA reports that a clinic named the Higher Path, which appeared to be roped off by yellow tape, occupies that block.
Sunset Boulevard was blocked off into the early evening as police investigated, and it appeared that two men were detained for questioning, according to the blog.
It wasn't immediately clear if the dispensary was one of the hundreds of pot shops ordered by the city to shut down under a new ordinance.
