Verizon iPhone Service In January? Yes: Hipsters Rejoice
Woo-hoo. Echo Park hipsters rejoice. Verizon is said to be breaking AT&T's lock on iPhone service starting in January, when it will start selling the devices with its own service attached, according to Bloomberg News.

Forget the improving economy, a win by your favorite World Cup team or the fact that summer is finally here. This is good news. The move's actually a good deal for Apple: It pairs the nation's largest wireless provider with its hottest phone.
"The fact is, Apple is going to dramatically increase the number of devices it sells in the U.S. when exclusivity at AT&T ends," analyst John Hodulik told Bloomberg. "It's hard to ignore the quality issues that AT&T has faced."
It's not clear what kind of plans Verizon would offer, but we hope they're more of the all-inclusive variety than the a la cart pricing that has often made iPhone ownership a $100-plus per month proposition under for many AT&T customers.
