Harry Grey, L.A. Homicide No. 153: 62-year-old Man Died of Head Truama

A man who died on June 24 from head injuries sustained in a physical altercation with an unknown suspect was identified as 62-year-old Harry Grey. The altercation occurred on July 11, 2009 on the corner of 7th Street and San Julian in downtown Los Angeles, according to Lieutenant Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Coroner's Investigation Division. Grey went into a coma shortly after the fight and died of his injuries almost a year later at a convalescent home around 8:00 p.m.

Detective Sergio Ortiz of LAPD's Central Division declined to give more details about the case because the investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Ortiz at (213) 972-1257.
