Julian Romero, L.A. Homicide No. 163: Man Found Fatally Shot Inside Car in South Los Angeles

A man who was found fatally shot outside a white van near downtown Los Angeles July 23 has been identified as 25-year-old Julian Romero. Romero was shot about 9:30 p.m. Friday in Broadway Place and 40th Place. He was later found dead in his car in the 3700 block of Woodlawn Avenue, between Jefferson and Martin Luther King Jr. boulevards. It is unclear whether Romero was driving the van when he was shot. Police said the shooting appears to be gang-related. Two suspects are in custody. Anyone with information should contact LAPD Newton Division detectives at (323) 846-6556.
