Darren Dunning, L.A. Homicide No. 143: 19-year-old Man Shot Dead in South L.A.

A young man that was fatally shot by an unidentified suspect in South Los Angeles has been identified as 19-year-old Darren Dunning, according to Detective Young Mun of LAPD's 77th Division. The shooting occurred at 2100 West Florence Avenue on the corner of Cimarron Street on July 3 around 7:30 p.m. (See map after the jump)

The suspect walked up to the victim, shot him and then fled the scene in a Ford F150 pickup truck, said April Harding of LAPD Media Relations.
