A federal judge this week rejected a court filing that sought to find out if Lindsay Lohan had been strip searched before her current stint at a county women's facility in Lynwood. The filing requested that Lohan be deposed to testify about the search process at the Century Regional Detention Facility as part of a suit alleging that the searches are unconstitutional.

U.S. District Judge Stephen V. Wilson said no to the attempt to find out if Lohan had to strip down or be subjected to a cavity search in a parking lot outside the facility. It's a ritual female inmates have to go through.

The aim of the request was this: If Lohan was given special treatment and got to avoid the search, then the suit would use that to bolster its argument that the process is unnecessary for security. Sheriff's officials that run the jail say the searches are needed to maintain security.
