Mel Gibson Investigated For Domestic Violence In Malibu

Actor Mel Gibson was being investigated for domestic violence, county sheriff's officials said Thursday. The case involves girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, who gave birth to the pair's daughter in 2009.
A statement from the sheriff's Lost Hills Station, which patrols Malibu, reads that the department "is currently gathering information regarding the allegations.''
"Due to the investigation being preliminary in nature, no other information is available at this time,'' the statement reads.
TMZ reports that the incidents in question happened in January and February in Malibu, where Gibson famously resides. Deputies interviewed the girlfriend Monday, according to the site.
