• My heart goes to Sasha's family and especially Sasha herself. Now here's my two cents in this whole thing, more like my question. Where were the parents in this? Sasha was just 15 years old. They should've taken more responsibilty into it. She shouldn't have been allowed there to go in the first place. Period. I admit that I went to a rave when I was 14, but not once have I ever done drugs, I'm am proud that I haven't, but to hear that ecstasy was "slipped" into her bottle is just bullshit. Of course ecstasy is NOT 100% pure these days. Ecstasy can contain anything because it's not facoty-made, it's man-made by one person. That means whoever is making the pills, he or she can put whatever they want to make the "feeling" from ecstasy get even "better". I know a lot about this because I have studied this, and people are surprised to hear that I have never done them. The ecstasy pill(s) took her life and it's just sad. Obviously if she took that pill (or is she took a few too many), it could have tasted nasty in the water. To have all those dangerous chemicals in that ecstasy pill and not have taste it is just completely absurd. But again, kids take pills ANYWHERE THEY LIKE. I attend Manual Arts High but believe me, kids there take ecstasy with their drinks, and they say it has a very bitter taste but I won't interfere with them because that's there life on the line, not mine. Same for GrooveThursdays. Kids up thier do drugs without a doubt, anyone who goes there knows it. The city is over-reacting because THIS IS NOT like the first death of ecstasy . ETD POP 2010. An ADULT man died there from buying drugs from an unknown guy. This is what happens when you do stupid shit not knowing what's in it. My heart goes out to him too as well but regardless of age, anyone can do them. Sasha most likely took it upon her actions. To have an ecstasy pill that was "slipped" is pure bullshit. I have witnessed pills getting crushed and put into drinks from kids that do it at school, and honestly from what I was witnessed many times, pills DO NOT dissolve qucikly. The crumbs of the pill stay at the bottom but do not dissolve, and for Sasha not "knowing" it was in just plain retarded. Another thing. This is a RAVE. You should be very careful of who's around you and what you consume/drink there. Without a doubt, THERE ARE creepers at raves that could and will follow you everywhere, and without a doubt there are shady, ignorant people there who say "Oh, here it's just a water bottle", but in fact there can be ANYTHING in it, and without a doubt even your "FRIENDS" can put something in your drink and not even tell you shit about it. As a 15 year old, Sasha shoud've known and taken her pre-cautions because anything can happen at a rave. She should've been suspicious about the "water bottle" she consumed, if better she should of bought a water bottle herself from the vendors becausee again, anything can go wrong in a rave, and in this case it really, really did. If in all real shit that she never "drank" from a water bottle, then she took the pills at her own risk. She got what was coming her way and her life was cut short. From seeing her pictures, she was beautiful and so was her smile. It's just sad to loose someone, especially for her for family and everyone who knew Sasha well. Of couse EDC '10 was not enforced all the way. They didn't check my ID, but I still got in. But the parents should've questioned Sasha about where she was going. If her parents either paid $60-$125 for her going to EDC, she they should've theirselves, "Why so much for this event", "Is there any age limits", or even better ask thierselves "My daughter is 15, can anything go wrong on this night?". If her parents would've looked more into the rules and regulations for EDC, then obviously this whole thing would've never happened. For the parents of Sasha to point fingers at Insomniac is just immature. Insomniac couldn't babysit Sasha all day/night even if her parents wanted to. For christ's sake, there were 185,000 other people there! Insomniac has been in business for ever 17 years and for stuff like this to happen is just...wow. Parents should be very careful of who their sons/daughters are with because not all "friends' can be trusted. Also, parents should check any rules/regulations and make sure thier sons/daughters so they can avoid any issues. This whole thing killed it for mostly eveyone who goes to raves. Raves were bulked in attendees who's ages range from 15-21 year olds. I knew this 18+ rule would come sooner or later because some incident would happen at a rave, but I never expected it to happen this soon. People say that 18+ (adults) are much more very mature than minors at raves. Um, BULLSHIT. Even though most massives are now 18+, you will stil see the same shit (girls in slutty outfits, people overdosing, people stealing other people's stuff, etc). The majority of minors are very immature, and so are 18+ olds. But in my opinion, they should make raves/massives AT LEAST 16+ with with a VALID STATE ID. But again, what can I do. It's sad to see Insomniac having to make this 18+ rule because they have to. They loose business because most of thier attendees were young people, but on the other hand, this 18+ rule is good to back off most of the immature, stupid minors that don't know what they're doing. Drugs should be STRICTLY enforced at raves, especially big ones because anything like this can happen, and I hate the fact that L.A are discriminating againt EDM music. They stereotype raves as druggies events with people doing drugs all over the place and that's not completely true. Hopefully this is just a temporarily downfall for the EDM nation. She obviously consumed the drug and knew what she was doing, her friends were with her on this as well, no one at a rave attempts to slip some rat posion to kill them, that's not what these events are about. Her parents should have taken better care of her and known what she was getting into. Insominac has to have a strict enforcement on these raves, they need to put a limit on how many tickets they sell and personally make it 18+. She died of OD, no questions about it, took a few too many pills her body dehydrated (possibly got caught up trying to hop the fence and got stomped on). This shouldn't mean that events should be canceled, they should be better taken care of cause no matter what you do people are still going to take drugs, the event does not promote that. • When I was younger there was a age limit in order to get into a rave. What they hell happen to that??? Is security so relaxed that they don't even check ID's anymore... The age limit at the Raves I use to go to down in down town Hollywood you had to be 18 and over and you were carded and searched for drugs or any other containers that didn't contain water.. Shoot they even had a light to check if you ID was fake or not.. I'm pretty sure she would have known not to take any water bottles from someone she didn't know, I mean how stupid can you get.. If this Rave was 16 and over ummm hello parents did you even check to see if your daughter was lying about going to this Rave and it being age appropriate.. When myself and a couple friends went we didn't get high or drunk off our ass, but we made sure we had a couple water bottles, we enjoyed the music most of all.. I'm a mother of 2 and wouldn't mind my Kids going to Rave but I would have to know were the event was going to be held and look into the security and so forth.. If the Rave was being held at a person's house I'd contact the parents or the owners of the house to make sure it was safe for my kids to go to..

• As a 38yo mother of two teens that was there, it was an amazing event. It is and should be about the music and not drugs. A few people that act ridiculous and ruin it for everyone is a shame. Also I believe the event was for 16 and older...where was her guardian? Any event of this size is bound to have issues. I was impressed with the amount of security and relative order that was maintained. Yes, some get out of hand and always will. As a medical professional, I have seen far worse at other events not raves. The Mayor needs to rethink this knee-jerk reaction.
