Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger Takes Controller John Chiang To Court To Force Him To Pay State Workers Minimum Wage

• Idiot, think again, he has made money hand over fist from good ,solid business pratices. Coming from nothing and doing it on his own. The idiots are the morons in Sacromento who cater to the public services unions.Promise,get paid, do nothing buffoons.Why should most state workers be exempt from the bad economy.for the most part state employees , other than firefighters,law enforcement and prison gaurds are do nothing bureaucratic cubicle hamsters.Furlough days are great,less traffic and nothing that is closed was really needed 5 days a week with twice as many on payroll as any private sector company.State workers are not entitled to anything more than the rest of us get.85% of the LA city budget goes to public service employees wages and pensions.Could a real bossiness survive running like that.When is the last time you walked into a state or city office and found competent help?Bunch of clock watching,pension sucking,uneducated trolls!

• Arnold is an idiot. I don't understand why he feels that tthis will help the state in any way shape or form. He had already promised state workers that the 15% pay cut they've received for the last year would be Repayed back to them..and now, when they've waited for it this long, he comes in and proposes they take an even Bigger pay cut. No one realzes that him doing this will make so many state workers lose Everything they have worked so hard to keep. My mother is a state worker, she works at a high security prison and puts her life on the line EVERYDAY, she has her furlow days, and takes her pay cut...she has already cut back or shut off anything that is an unnecessary expense in her life and she's barely making it now. If he pulls off this Federal minimum wage crap she will lose everything. Her home of 25 years and everything else.She can't even be hired on at some fast food place or other job because of what her job entails, people don't want to hire someone who works at a prison due to her not being able to guarantee that she can be there in the event of a prison lockdown. Arnold is screwing everything up, he should be arrested for his stupidity and he needs to be out of office, and soon. He's ruining this state, he's not fixing anything.

• Most of the people in my profession (land surveying) that I know, who are working, work for the government. I have been quite surprised at their detachment from what the private practitioners are going through in this economy. I have heard them complain bitterly over "furlough Fridays". Maybe this will put them a little more in touch with people that aren't on tax supported (government employment) welfare, and what they are going through! If their jobs were outsourced to private industry, they would be on unemployment (or less), like so many of my friends.

• Why don't the higher ups take a cut in pay?? Why should they attack the hard working people who need to make a living?

• "He has been in office 3 1/2 years,"... "That is more than enough time for him to have figured out how to do his job." Um.. hello? Does anyone else find that statement to be... "absurd" as well? How many years has this pesky budget thing been sneaking up on us now?

• Why don't some of those persons in government take a pay cut to help w th 'budget' ???

• I would like to know how much of tax payer money the governor is spending on this law suite that is eventually not going to save the state even one penny? Can someone, ANYONE, look into this?
