• You are an idiot. By your logic we should outlaw driving. How many deaths are caused by car accidents? It's people like you who are the bane of everyone's existence because you take 1 case & extrapolate it into a witch hunt on a genre of music you don't understand. This event had tens of thousands attending it. 1 of them did something stupid & ended up dead. 99.99999% of others had a great time & are very much alive. 

• What we need to do is make it available for kids to learn about E and safe drug use. Sorry guys... no matter what you do or say, kids will try the drug. Lets at least teach them a safe way to do it so they dont kill themselves. We already teach safe sex in school. You dont see every kid out there fucking everything they see, but we still teach then how to protect themselves.

• I read on another news page that she actually died from drinking too much water while on X. If you look up the dangers, effects, etc. the chemicals in ecstasy dehydrate you so if you don't drink anything you will probably die. In the same instance, the chemicals thin out your blood, so drinking too MUCH water will also kill you. Ecstasy has also known to be mixed/cut with PCP, meth, & cocaine by the dirtbags that make it. I had considered trying it at one point, but after reading about how dangerous it is I've decided not to. I will stick with the stuff that grows naturally from the ground.

• Are you serious? There comes a point where it is no one's responsibility, but your OWN to take care of youself. The promoters did not sell this girl her drugs and they sure didn't tell her to take them. This could have happened ANYwhere on any given day. She was responsible for her own actions, as every human SHOULD be.

• I read other articles on this topid and it sounds like she fell and hit her head, and got stepped on because the venue was so full...is it really clear what her cause of death was? If in fact her death was directly related to too much MDMA in her system, then it is possible to assume that the "rave" isn't what caused it. Raves or not, people are going to do the drugs associated with that scene.

• This is a very sad thing. Dealing with a loss is never easy but placing the blame on the promoters/events isnt the right thing to do. The ultimate issue at hand is proper family values and education. The Media makes these events look bad and society sees these news reports and they start to think that the events themselves are responsible.... Everyone outside of the Electronic Music World makes false generalizations and these false stereotypes is why people are being misled. The policy chief said after EDC that "Electronic music is meant to be enjoyed under the influence of drugs" Really? Thats funny because i remember an event called Woodstock and many of the patrons there were under the influence of LSD and other drugs... So to listen to rock must also mean to be under the influence of drugs then... right? Wrong. Every person is resonsible for their own actions. The same goes with how they choose to enjoy their experiences at things like concerts and even Raves... You dont have to be on drugs to enjoy something. People just choose to enjoy things their own way and its their own responsibility to make sure they are doing it safely. Same goes with people rushing the gates and hopping the fences... people can only do so much to prevent certain things from happening at an event.. And the promoters like everyone to be able to participate but now events are 18 plus to eliminate the immature crowd from joining in so that there arent any future problems with that sort of thing. So what is the solution? Do we punish all the people that like Electronic music just because of a few misguided kids? Is that really fair? You have to get past the years of false stereotypes made against the Electronic music culture and the ignorance of todays media and city officials... They know nothing of our world. The truth is that if you want to ensure public saftey you have to start in the schools and at home. People need to educate their children about making right decisions. There are drugs and danger all over the world and i can tell you one thing... Their are only a handful of these major Electronic music events a year... where do you think they are doing it in between? They are doing it at their friends houses... the streets and anywhere else they dont have supervision. Todays youth have become very disconnected and are easily lost in what they see on television and the internet like social networking sites ect. Parents need to reconnect with their kids and teach them about making decisions and we need better programs in our schools about drugs... not programs that just scare kids but show them what the consequences are. It is easy for the city officials, police, parents and everyone else to blame things like "RAVES" for the reason why their kids do things like ecstacy but the reality is if you took the "RAVES" away... kids would still do all of those things. Again this is a tragic thing but that girls parents knew where she was going and they let her go anyways. As parents you need to make sure you know what enviornment your kid will be in and that they are capable of making the right decisions. Parents these days are more naive than their own children and its not an excuse. Dont be afraid to be a parent and remember... EDC didnt force this girl to take whatever she took.. she did it on her own free will.

Let me break this theres always a time were you or anyone commits a mistakes and some may be fatal we lost our beloved friend and team mate we miss her very much. She was such a sweet girl. I dont beleive in this "PLUR" they claim to "be" since no one bothered to help to get her up. • The etiology of Ms. Rodriguez's death puzzles me, as does the fatal toxicity of mdma in general. She apparently died from lack of oxygen to her brain, but the cause of that was respiratory distress. Is mdma so potent that it actually stopped her lungs from breathing? Was there some other external action that caused her to stop breathing? Did she simply hyperventilate herself into anoxia in a panic? It feels ghoulish, but if LA is going to set policy largely based on one fatality, I'd like to know the full story on her C.O.D. There has just been too long a history of mistruths on both sides when discussing the effects of mind (and body) altering substances and it's made for some bad policy choices in the past.

• That is unacceptable for the city to just review. What happened to the 2001 Rave Act? How many more overdoses to happen before the promoters and city take responsibility? 18 plus now? So its okay for everyone over 18 to be expendable? Is human worth the cost of admission to these raves? Does the promoters contributing money to the councilman of the district above the law? Above public safety? It's beyond evident that promoters and now city officials, don't care as long as the money rolls in for them. The decision to allow these raves to go on "as scheduled" is disturbing to say the least. Who's really running the show in this city for public health and safety. Look at all the previous deaths, overdoses, etc from all the years... The case stacks up.
