• Wow that just about sums everything up

• I am deaf myself as well, but to look at it from an objective perspective is quite a difficult one. First of all, Security, I have never heard have used such force whether it was brutal or not upon a person without some sort of evidence. It has been stated in the article above that they have evidence of shoplifting throughout the store by this man Reja. The security acted accordingly to what he was paid to do, and that is to secure the criminal. Now...was it brutal, well it looked brutal but it does not mean it was. I mean if it was UFC style, dang man I am pretty sure most guy under that security fella would be in a lot more pain and it would have been over in a few seconds. I on the other hand, scorned the security guys especially the one standing up, for not allowing any form of communication or any attempt of what I have seen so far. I mean communication is key to security, people need to know what is going on to secure any location so therefore if there is any lack of communication, the location falls apart justl ike displayed above.

• The security guard and the store he works for BOTH have the right to loss prevention and to secure their business from theft. They also enjoy the right to use reasonable force to apprehend shoplifters and detain them for police.<br> <br> Deaf people commit crimes and go to jail just like everyone else. They also get arrested just like everyone else. Equal treatment for everybody, special treatment for nobody.

• I watched the video 3 times. I have worked in security for years and I have martial arts experience.<br> <br> First, the guard did NOT use excessive force, or the suspect would have passed out. The red face, is from the SMALL amount of pressure at the base of the head, pushing the blood up and into the face. The pressure is from the suspect's struggling.<br> <br> The guard, continues to hold steady at which point the suspect begins to panic and desperately begins to 'tap-out' on the guard's head. The guard immediately let the suspect go and turned him over and proceeded to secure the suspect with handcuffs.<br> <br> The guard is trained well and executed wonderfully. The suspect was arrested safely. There is no brutality here. None.

• I've been eating a lot of the Ralphs Grade AA Large Eggs and a couple days before I heard about the recall I started getting stomach pains. They have gotten a LOT worse, I already went to the ER once, and if they could actually do anything for me I would go in again. This is literally the worst pain I have ever been in. I'll know by tomorrow if its salmonella or not, the doctors have no idea as of now.

• I dont see that the security guard was trying to hurt the guy- from a professional point of view, working in an industry with a large volume of aggressive patients, i believe the security guard handled the man in a proper way. as big as the security guard was, he could have easily made him pass out, or done alot of harm to him. he didnt, and he clearly was defending himself from the guy that was resisting him. he had to protect himself- he doesnt know if that guy has a blade or gun on him- would you have responded differently if the security guard had been shot? He didnt know anything about the guy other than he was beign aggressive and he was shoplifting. Give the guy his job back, give him a raise, and you obviously uninformed people- think about how you would have handled the situation. not as well i bet if i had been you the theif was using aggressive behavior against.

• I happen to be Deaf myself so take that into context when I write this. It doesn't matter if he stole anything or not. I'll give and say theoretically, he did steal something because evidence does point in that direction. INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY. It does NOT GIVE store security the right to grab ANYONE or put ANYONE into a chokehold. This is not safe, to either security or the "customer". I wouldn't get physical if I was paid $8 a hour and was not trained for this. I open myself *AND* the store up to trouble. I do agree this man should be punished, and he is being punished. However, he was treated in a grossly unfair manner. Store security has no right to behave in this fashion. Why did they get so aggressive so fast-security, that is? Why did they fail to even communicate (writing, etc)? There are a lot of issues with this store's security team, and an investigation by the chain would be prudent. I know I have shopped at Forever 21 before, but I question whether I will enter this store again.

• I nearly had an assgasm when I scan that. That's just wild. It reminds me of the point in time I took my ex-girlfriend all the way down to the local walmart to find some tubes but we could only find was a plastic swimming pool and a couple of doggie bones.We made do with some plastic clothespins and some neon yellow weedwhacker line but there just aint no substitute for the real thing. I reckon that as the overall economy way out to in china or wherever gets even more serious then those mexicans in china are gonna start wanting more money for their plastic crap. I hope it gets real pricey so that a lot of them snobby city people start spending at walmart. Then I can go down there and guffaw at them and key their cars when they try to take up two parking spaces.

• if rea has a history of petty theft, then maybe he did go into the store with the intention of shoplifting. i dont question that. the question is this, did the security officer have the right to use such force? shoplifting isn't exactly what i would call a major crime, perhaps if he had threatened people with a weapon, like in that target incident where people were actually attacked, then that force would have been justified. but the story doesnt mention any threats on rea's part, so thats where the judicial system comes in. yeah maybe the guy is a no good cheat, on the other hand, maybe the security guard is a bloodthirsty mad man. i don't know all the facts as of yet, so i'll reserve judgement til then. lets not be quick to judge people, peace ;0)

• The truth behind this story is the fact that Alex Rea - a twice convicted shoplifter - had entered the store with his brother and had stolen a shitload of merchandice. When confronted, they played deaf and tried to escape the long dick of the law that afternoon. Brother #1 is in jail for ROBBERY and Brother #2 should be sitting in the cell with him. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM BY A COUPLE OF THIEVES LOOKING FOR A PAYDAY
