Afraid to travel, shop or generally just get out there to do your job because it's Friday the 13th? You're not alone.

According to CNBC employers lose as much as $800 million in productivity on this day as a result of superstitious employees who are afraid to get out there and do their jobs. Fortunately for your bosses, Friday the 13th only happens once in 2010.
Of course, for all you goths and lovers of the darkside, this is an early start to your Halloween holiday season, so put your eyeliner on and get out there.
And everybody else -- get back to work.
