Kramer Syndrome -- where one blurts out one's true, racist feelings -- claimed another victim this week when conservative, L.A.-based talk-show host Laura Schlessinger uttered the n-word 11 times on-air.

The "doctor," heard locally at CBS-affiliated newsradio-turned-talk-station KFWB (AM 980), issued an apology on her blog, saying, "I was attempting to make a philosophical point, and I articulated the 'n' word all the way out - more than one time. And that was wrong. I'll say it again - that was wrong."

Because, when you need to make a philosophical point, the n-word immediately comes to mind. Socrates, Plato, Descartes -- they all used it.

But seriously, this is how it went down, according to a transcript published by CNN:

Caller: How about the N-word? So, the N-word's been thrown around -

Schlessinger: Black guys use it all the time. Turn on HBO, listen to a black comic, and all you hear is n*****, n*****, n*****.

(Scratches chin. Ponders deep philosophical implications of how "black guys use it all the time.").

In any case, Media Matters for America has the "full audio."
