Maria Fernanda Reyes, L.A. Homicide No. 173: Woman Found Shot Inside Apartment Identified
A woman who was found shot to death inside her apartment in the Mid-City area August 5 has been identified as 22-year-old Maria Fernanda Reyes. Reyes' boyfriend, Ignacio Perez, is considered to be the main suspect in the murder and is being sought by police. According to law enforcement sources, three witnesses inside the apartment in the 4800 block of Saint Charles Place heard the couple fighting in a back bedroom minutes before shots were fired. 
Reyes died from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred about 11:15 p.m. Thursday. Perez, 34, fled the scene. He is described as Hispanic, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information should contact LAPD Wilshire Division detectives at (213) 473-0446.
