Judge Vaughn Walker has released video and document evidence for the Proposition 8 trial on the official web site for the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Such things as political ads from the 2008 Proposition 8 campaign are featured, as well as video clips of a "satellite simulcast" in which gay marriage foes talk about defending "traditional marriage."

Family Research Council president Tony Perkins, for example, says same-sex marriage "confuses children" and families find themselves in "awkward situations."

Those types of "situations," of course, usually stem from people's own confused and awkward feelings towards homosexuality and, probably, sexuality in general.

The documents also provide a look into the minds of anti-gay marriage forces as well as the American Medical Association's take on same-sex marriage.

The AMA writes that the "exclusion from civil marriage contributes to health care disparities affecting same-sex households."

The video and documents were presented to U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker as evidence during the Proposition 8 trial in January. The video footage, studies, and statements informed his decision to overturn the 2008 ballot measure and find it unconstitutional.
