Los Angeles police this week released a sketch of a motorist wanted for picking up two women on Skid Row, binding them with duct tape and raping them.

The white, middle-aged, balding man in a brown Ford "Econoline-type" van with vertical stripes is alleged to have struck on Aug. 1 and again on Monday, police said.

In the first case the man picked up a woman at Sixth Street and Stanford Avenue, bound her and raped her for three days before letting her go in Koreatown. In the second case he picked up a victim a Sixth and Towne Avenue, pulled a knife, bound her, raped her and put her in a dumpster in Alhambra.

Anyone with information about the suspect was urged to call police at 213-972-1235 or at 800-222-8477.
