Meg Whitman Has Plenty Of Company In Hiring Undocumented Help (Guinier, Baird, Feinstein): Here's Our Look At Foreign Domestics Throughout Modern Political History

• @Norris Hall, I am not be a supporter of Meg, but your statement as to what Meg should had said would had work best. The only thing she should do now is admit it and clearly state her plan for California or hope that this can favor her, by displaying herself as a victim of smear poltics.

• Well, now it appears that Meg Whitman's husband DID receive a letter from the SS administration questioning his maid's legal status. It also appears that he wrote a note to his maid asking her to "check up on this" So if I were Meg's campaign manager I would prepare the following statement to the press: "It appears that my husband lied to me . Apparently he knew all along that our maid was undocumented. Yet all along he claimed to me he never knew. He kept this information from me for 6 years. Had I known I would have immediately turned her into the INS. I am very disappointed in my husband for letting me down and am seeking the advice of a divorce attorney. Meanwhile, the citizens of California can rest assured that I personally did not know that this woman was illegal. Now, does anyone have any questions about my views on jobs and education?

• Meg should have just come clean at the beginning of the campaign. But instead she's denying that she knew the woman was here illegally, and she's denying receiving a letter from the Social Security office informing her that the maid's SS# did not match her name. Meg's excuse is that the maid gets the mail. Come on Meg. Can't you keep track of your own mail? She also told the maid, "I don't know you, and you don't know me. I have never seen you, and you have never seen me. Understand?" The maid doesn't have to keep Meg's secrets. Queen Meg thinks she can control everybody.

• Meg should have made this mistake public early in her campaign. This was a huge political mistake that may cost her 120 million !!! Really!!! a New York Times story reported that she had to pay a $200,000 settlement to a former employee for shoving an employee. Wow! she can shove me any day!!!

• It is the responsibility of a defense attorney to protect their client. By my count Gloria has put her client in a position of being charged with 4 crimes, some with multiple counts. Ms. Diaz could well be charged with; entering the country illegally, perjury, identify thief, and mail tampering. It is clear that Allred did not put her client�s best interests in the fore but instead violated client confidence by publicly exposing her crimes. I would not want to see Ms. Diaz, who is apparently just a pawn in all this, severely punished but Allred should be brought up on charges by the California Bar Association.
