Lindsay Lohan Celebrates After Admitting She Failed Drug Test

A judge issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Lindsay Lohan after the actress admitted over the weekend that she tested positive for cocaine. Lohan was ordered to be in court Friday. Her probation was revoked. In a strangely Catholic move, Lohan tweeted a mea culpa over the weekend, confirming reports that she failed a drug test -- then she reportedly went out and partied. (To be fair, the Catholic way for some would be to show up to church hungover and ask for forgiveness after-the-fact). Apparently she cleared her mind before filling it with ... more fun stuff.

Word was late last week that the L.A. celebutante failed a mandatory drug test that was part of her DUI probation. The culprit drug was said to be cocaine, because nothing says f--- the recession (and the justice system) like the old Bolivian marching salute. Here's what Lohan had to say:

"Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before [Superior Court] judge [Elden] Fox next week as a result. Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn't go away over night. I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future. This was certainly a setback for me but I am taking responsibility for my actions and I'm prepared to face the consequences. I am so thankful for the support of my fans, loved ones and immediate family, who understand that i am trying hard."

According to this MSNBC-affiliated site, she was trying hard -- by going out and celebrating Friday.

We applaud Lohan's honesty and open embrace of the party-hearty dark-side. We just wonder why she couldn't have hired a driver and avoided this mess in the first place.
