Keith Richard Yackey, Imperial Stars' Co-Founder, 'Glad' The Band Blocked Traffic On The 101 Freeway In Hollywood
While folks caught in the nightmare created by the Imperial Stars' traffic-stopping stunt Tuesday were not too happy, a co-founder of the band said this week he was "glad" the act did it.

"We know there are going to be haters," guitarist Keith Richard Yackey told the Orange County Register. "But I'm glad we did it."
Did you hear that kids? If you were inconvenienced even in the slightest because a trio of crap "hardcore" hip-hoppers from O.C. decided to boost its career at your expense, you're a hater.
"We're sorry for the inconvenience," the 31-year-old said. "We know people might have missed appointments or meetings, but we feel passionate about our cause."
The cause? Allegedly homeless children. Although, as commenters have pointed out at the Weekly, the band could have put money it spent on the stunt -- not including the value of lost productivity for all those folks stuck in traffic -- on its fave issue without forcing it on the rest of the world.
It's okay, however, because sometimes there is poetic justice.
One of those people stuck in traffic following the song-playing stunt on the southbound 101 freeway at Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood was none other than Los Angeles City Attorney Carmen Trutanich.
He'll be the guy weighing charges against the three.
