LAPD Has A DUI Checkpoint Waiting For You In South L.A. Tonight

This is where you don't want to be Friday night: On Florence Avenue between South Broadway and South Main Street in South Los Angeles from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Because that's the site of another wonderful edition of the LAPD DUI checkpoint. And we all know what the cops do when they spot you driving a la Lohan or cruising sin licensia: They lock you up and/or take your ride.

Of course this is all about safety and has nothing to do with the city budget or the ease of finding unlicensed immigrants in this particular neighborhood. (Hooking up cars is like taking candy from a baby down there).
