The Red Line
Mother always said not to play on the tracks.

It seems an undisclosed Hollywood commuter wasn't listening this morning, when he found himself wedged between a train and a platform at 7 a.m., CBS Los Angeles reports. Rescue workers quickly shut off the Metro Red Line near Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street so that a rescue effort could begin.

By 8 a.m., the Los Angeles Times reported that the man had still not been freed; meanwhile, only trains to the south had resumed operation.

By 9 a.m., the victim had been transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in critical condition, according to the sheriffs' Transit Service Beareu. All trains have since resumed operation.

The sheriff's department has not released any clues as to how the man may have gotten stuck. Is it wrong to hope for horseplay?
