'Cause posin' in front of Lambos is hardcore for the homeless kids, yo.
'Member these guys? The Imperial Stars? The "hardcore hip-hop" act that blocked the 101 freeway on a mid-October morning because their cause (purportedly homeless children) is much more important than your cause (getting to work so your children don't become homeless)? (Us either).

Our sister publication OC Weekly reports the trio is due in Los Angeles Superior Court for arraignment Wednesday. And, of course, these uber-kooks couldn't pass up the opportunity to shove some message down our throats ...

... Because we really need three white-guy poseurs from O.C. to teach us about how it really is for the children.

They posted $10,000 bail and now say they're going to give away $30,000 to homeless kids at a club kid at the Highlands club in Hollywood Dec. 3. Must be nice to have the cash for bail, stunt-truck rental, video production and a publicist, and still be righteous enough to tell the rest of us that we need to get with their cause.

The band's publicist states:

Imperial Stars are due in Los Angeles Criminal Court to be arraigned on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime, unlawful assembly, and congesting traffic. Prior to their court appearance, the group will make a statement to the media in support of their strong and committed beliefs to aid, help and support the 1.5 million homeless children in the U.S. The band embraced a campaign to use their burgeoning fame as a vehicle for social change.

Ug. You want a vehicle for social change? Drive your band's truck off a cliff with all of them in it. (And they say L.A. doesn't have a bridge-and-tunnel crowd. Can you say O.C. shore?).

By the way, Los Angeles City Attorney's spokesman Frank Mateljan tells the Weekly that charges haven't actually been filed yet, and if the City Attorney's, er, attorneys don't decide on specific charges by Wednesday the arraignment will be rescheduled.
