Zurisaday Bonilla, Naomi Bonilla, L.A. Homicides No. 216, No. 217: 19-Year-Old Mother And Infant Child Killed By Ex-Boyfriend In SUV On Halloween
A Latina woman and her infant child were killed by their respective ex-boyfriend and father at about 11:45 p.m. on Halloween night, when he plowed his car into their home on the 2700 block of Cincinnati Street in Boyle Heights. They have since been identified as 19-year-old Zurisaday Bonilla and 10-day-old Naomi Bonilla.

According to the LAPD, 21-year-old Eduardo Villareal drove his Cadillac Escalade through a red light, over the curb, through a chain-link fence and six feet into the stucco bedroom of the house.
Zurisaday was pronounced dead at the scene due to blunt-force trauma, according to coroner's reports. Her daughter died soon after at a nearby hospital from similar injuries.
After he was treated for injuries from the crash, police booked Villareal on suspicion of murder. On Nov. 3, the L.A. resident -- who showed up to court with his forehead bandaged -- was charged with two counts of murder.
City News Service reports that six other Halloween partygoers were in the house at the time of the murder, one of whom was severely injured. Detectives said that since they found no skid marks, they concluded Villareal did not apply the brakes, making his crime an intentional homicide. He also admitted this intention -- which he said was fueled by a custody battle -- at the scene.
Zurisaday is survived by a three-year-old child from another relationship.
