Ecstasy Conference Comes To Downtown Los Angeles
Just in time for the controversy over raves and ecstasy, the folks from the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies are in town for a weekend conference on the "The Impact of Psychedelics on Culture, Cognition, and Creativity."
E is for ecstasy.
The gathering includes a Friday night party downtown called Metamorphosis that will present a panel discussion, an auction (which will have a first-edition signed copy of Albert Hoffman's LSD: My Problem Child and "laboratory glassware" from "godfather of ecstasy" Alexander "Sasha" Shulgin) and art displays.
Bring your pacifiers. Or not. It's taking place at ...
... Temple of Visions, 719 S. Spring St., downtown from 6 to 11 p.m.
That's early for ecstasy talk. We'll assume there's an after-party. With glow sticks.
