Snow comes down, L.A.'s NFL hopes are lifted.
That blast of snow that brought down parts of the Metrodome's roof in Minneapolis could bring some new rays of hope to sunny L.A.'s chances of getting a new NFL team.

Turns out it's not the first time snow has come through the roof of the venue, and the Vikings, the team that plays there, has been fed up for some time. The Vikings want a new stadium. And a team publicist said earlier this month that both parties who want to bring teams to L.A. -- the Staples Center folks and Ed Roski's Majestic Realty -- had expressed interested in moving the Vikings west.

Blog chatter argued that this latest blast of white stuff, on a weekend when temps were in the 80s in L.A., could be the final straw for a team that might be wooed our fair city.

Staples Center boss Tim Leiweke of Anschutz Entertainment Group has proposed building a $1 billion stadium with a retractable roof on the site of the downtown Convention Center.

The Majestic folks want to build a stadium in the San Gabriel Valley city of Industry.

Rumors earlier this month had AEG taking a big stake in the San Diego Chargers, another team unhappy with its home digs. The Chargers denied it.

Which team would you rather have in L.A., the Vikings or the Chargers?
