16-Year-Old Allegedly Behind Wheel Of Big Rig That Crashed Into Lake View Terrance Trailer Park
We can almost hear the narration: Bo and Luke thought it would be a good idear to take the old 18-wheeler for a spin 'round yonder. Little did they know that handing the wheel to a 16-year-old would bring the whole thing a-tumblin' down.
That's sort of what happened (allegedly) Tuesday morning when a big-rig driven by an unlicensed teen veered off a freeway in Lake View Terrance and tumbled upside down into a mobile home park. (Had to be a trailer park to make this whole Dukes thing work).
And true to form the suspects boys dusted off and practically walked away from it. Although a 13-year-old riding in the rig sustained minor injuries.
It all went down about 3:39 a.m. in the 12000 block of Foothill Boulevard, authorities said.
John from NBCLA Teen trucking didn't exactly work out (allegedly).
A man in his 20s licensed to drive the thing handed the wheel over to the 16-year-old, the California Highway Patrol alleged.
And, of course, the rig was hauling 36,000 pounds of whipped and sour cream. Can you say whipit? (Allegedly).
Yeah, just some good ole' boys, never meanin' no harm -- indeed.
