Veronica Sylvester, SoCal Mom, Arrested After Her Girls Get Sick After Munching on Her Marijuana Cookie, Police Say

Two sisters ages 10 and 11 tested positive for marijuana after they ate their mom's pot cookie, cops say.

That mom is now in hot water: 33-year-old Veronica Sylvester was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, according to the Pasadena Star-News.

The Covina girls had returned home from school Monday and found the cookie on a kitchen counter wrapped in plastic and decided to try it, authorities said. Get this ...

... Cops said mom told them it was for medical use. But they say she does not have a doctor's recommendation.

"(The children) said they had numbness in their bodies and their skin was pale and clammy," Covina police Lt. Tim Doonan told the Star-News. "Both girls were taken to the hospital where toxicology tests yielded they were under the influence of marijuana."

No the girls are not FINE!!! They ingested drugs or do people not understand this concept. Their little bodies were so over whelm it made them physically ill. They are living in the system now to protect then aways fm family and friends and school, because an adult was careless. And the person behind bars is the person to be upset with she used the drugs carelessly and the "Medical Marijuana" excuse and got that community involved in this craziest.

This is no different that children taking a drink of alcohol and, in fact, was actually safer for them. The rants and yellings will ensue after this post but to anyone that actually takes the time to check the facts there is NO WAY it would have caused them any irreparrable harm. THC is the safest known psychoactive substance and there can never be an over dose or death from ingesting it.

Let the vitriol fly brave drug warriors and bash the truth the way you have for almost a century now. Truth is something that does not sell papers and that is why it is frequently left out of media reporting.
