L.A. District Attorney Probing Public Employee Todd DeStefano, Coliseum Manager Who Also Was Paid by Rave Promoter on the Side
The Los Angeles District Attorney's office is looking into possible wrongdoing in the relationship between a public official who helps oversee the L.A. Coliseum and a rave promotion company that puts on events at the venue.

"Our Public Integrity Division is reviewing allegations of conflict of interest," D.A.'s spokeswoman Jane Robison told the Weekly Wednesday afternoon.
The probe comes in the wake of a Los Angeles Times report that found Coliseum events manager Todd DeStefano also worked for the promoter behind the controversial Electric Daisy Carnival rave.
EDC has been on thin ice with public officials after last June's two-day party saw the ecstasy overdose death of a 15-year-old, 60 arrests and more than 200 medical emergencies.
DeStefano was in charge of security for the party and played dual roles for the promoter and the publicly run Coliseum throughout the year, even as the promoter, Insomniac Events, came before his bosses at the Coliseum Commission fro approval.
The Times reported that he resigned in January, but he was at a Feb. 2 meeting of the commission and appeared to play an active role in its proceedings.
