A one-off photo of Dennis Hopper is missing.
Actor Jason Lee is pleading for his photo back. It's not any photo. It's a shot he took of the late Dennis Hopper. And it's a one-off image:

There's no digital copy, no negative.

Lee says the photo was stolen Friday at an event at the This is Los Angeles gallery in Highland Park that happened to have been co-sponsored by LA Weekly.

Lee is offering $25,000 for its safe return. The gallery stated via its site:

"You've taken the one single physical document of the photographer's time with his subject. This is not a print, as there is no negative. There is only this single image. There is no way that this Polaroid will ever have the same worth to you that it holds for Jason."

The photo was apparently swiped during the "These Friends 2" show Feb. 4.

Lee's publicist told CNN he was "devastated."

Lee, a former pro skateboarder who stared in TV's My Name Is Earl, said:

"As a huge Hopper fan, I was honored to create my one-off large format Polaroid of him. And I was flattered that he liked it as much as he did. He was a great artist."
