Sheriff Joe Arpaio Visits SoCal, Says We Get All the 'Illegals' Because 'Nobody Enforces the Law Around Here'
"America's Sheriff" Joe Arpaio was in the area this week to speak at the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum, and he didn't waste too much time insulting Southern Californians.

The Maricopa County, Ariz. lawman known for his support of Arizona's controversial immigration law and for housing his jail inmates outdoors, where they're made to wear pink boxer shorts, was disappointed by the single digit show of protesters.
He told reporters that maybe public transit wasn't running in the area.

But seriously, Joe, you're in way friendly territory at the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. Next time make a stop at MacArthur Park in L.A. and see if the buses are running. And our friends at OC Weekly say the Library is pretty much a protest-free zone.
"Last week in San Diego, I had 200" protesters, he told the Orange County Register.
He criticized Southern California law enforcement for backing off when it comes to stopping people solely to investigate their immigration status. In Los Angeles, the LAPD operates under Special Order 40, which forbids officers from doing that.
He said the "illegals" he sees in Arizona are "all headed for California ... Nobody enforces the law around here."
Arpaio came to the Nixon Library at the behest of O.C. conservative talk show host Philip Liberatore.
Some people reportedly asked him for autographed copies of those famous pink boxers. We just want to take a signed photo with him stopping us to check out papers. Might be good for eBay someday.
