Lindsay Lohan: Allegedly Stolen Necklace Returned, Cops Not Searching Lohan's Venice Home

Lohan almost invited police into her home.
Smart move, Lindsay.

A missing $2,500 necklace police were planning to look for at her home was returned to the LAPD's Pacific Division Wednesday. Authorities had asked for a search warrant to search Lindsay Lohan's home after she allegedly walked out on an area store with the jewelry.

We joked that she should start flushing whatever questionable goods she might have on-hand, because cops were on the way. Maybe she did us one better.

A police official told Fox 11 News that the necklace in question was walked into the station near Culver City Wednesday.

CNN says that happened right before cops were about to pounce on her Venice party pad. She's on probation for drunk driving -- and on thin ice following a trip to rehab.

TMZ states that the store in question, Kamofie & Company, in fact did ask Lohan to model its jewelry in an attempt to drum up business, and that it simply had to ask for the item back to get it. She says she borrowed it.

The Los Angeles District Attorney's office is weighing whether charges might be apropos in the case.

Lindsay might be innocent here, but really, when you have so much, er, baggage, don't give police any excuse to come sniffing around, you know?

It is sad to note that even famous celebrities such as her are involved in jewelry stealing. This is very unfortunate since a lot of young girls consider celebrities as role models. Whether the allegations are true or not, it is important for them to behave well since a lot of people idolize them.
