Nearly Half of U.S. EPA's West Coast Radiation Monitors Might be Out Sick (Good Timing)

Beware the EPA.
We've been telling you for almost two weeks now that radiation from Japan was headed our way, but not to worry.

We are your friend.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reported this week that trace amounts of the Fukushima nuclear power plant radiation was detected in Orange and Riverside Counties -- at levels "hundreds of thousands to millions of times below levels of concern."

Okay. But here is a concern:

Eight of the EPA's 18 West Coast monitors might not be working!

The agency announced this week that the gizmos were "undergoing quality review," according to an EPA statement.

Reassuring.

Maybe this isn't the best time to have our radiation monitors conk out?

The agency claims that it has more than enough monitors, and that they overlap.

So, um, to summarize. Don't trip out, because you won't be exposed to harmful radiation. But nearly half of the government's monitors that measure that radiation might not be working.

But stay calm.

Still, just to be on the safe side, you can check in with Weekly contributor Michael Collins handy-dandy indie monitor in Santa Monica, here.

FOR ANYBODY WHO READS THIS NeWs PoSt!!!! Here what I say! Check out youtube and type inJapan Radiation Reaches Alaska! California! And Canada! Nuclear fallout next!' AnD see the real deal. Not working huh? Really?? Yeah..then tell us who's getting Fired.... Their trying to prevent Mass Hysteria. I am a Radiologic Technologist and had to learn about radiation in detail. Its no jokin on what this country could be exposed to. So either a bunch of people are getting fired or someones tryna cover all this up. Can u imagine if the whole southwest part of the country rushed to the other side.....??? Holy Smokes! Its no secret world, what this is all coming to. How many catastrophic disasters has this planet been in, in the last 6 years? From tsunamis to hurricanes, earthquakes and blizzards, rare tornados in Portugal... How many times do u hear everyday about earth being shited off its axis? Or that the rotation of the earth is spinning faster? India, Katrina, Haiti, New York, The Midwest, Japan... Now collectively, radiation exposure is a concern for all of us. One word world... RePenT.

there is a youtube video that looks at this whole mess. the essence is that HAARP was employed to cause the earthquakes, etc. the narrator outlines the consequences of the earthquakes --far greater than just the radiation explosions. he paints a disastrous picture of the ocean plates sinking, japan literally falling into the ocean and that will reverberate east to california. then guess what happens to that state and this country! but the video goes much further than simply describing how HAARP was used on Japan. it goes into the alleged oil disaster in the gulf and connects all this to the implementation of the North American Treaty plan to split the US and create an ocean port up in Kansas.pretty scarey stuff. makes the health concerns over radiation poisoning seem almost minor compared to the nefarious designs on the world coming to play.

Testing the air is not going to show the concentrations in the rivers and the lakes we get our water from. That is where the danger lies. It is an accumulative problem. They should have meters at the water treatment sights. Even small amounts of cesium or plutonium can add up if washed off of hundreds of acres of hills and mountains into a single lake. Ask your district offices if they are testing for more than microbes.

Maybe the monitors are suffering from radiation poisoning. Not LOL Ironic that EPA only works when "absolutely needed". Ya know like when BP destoyed the Gulf of Mexico and was a no show.

And interestingly much of the data that was unavailable was from stations that neighbored those showing elevated levels.

Why can't they just be honest about it. I doubt the levels were more than 2-3 times normal background at any of the stations. But they are compulsive liar, and they will lie about this just like they lied about the air quality in NYC after 9/11. Just like the Japanese are lying about the scope of their epic disaster, just like the Soviets lied about Chernobyl (which is now believe to have resulted in 300,000 to 1 million additional cancer deaths rather than the official absurdity of 31 total deaths)

If a monitor shows an abnormal reading it is taken off line as it is by definition "not working." Makes perfect sense no? Monitor for an increase, but remove instrumentation if it shows one. I'd rather know what the readings are than accept a government agencies platitudes not to worry. We were given similar reassurances over the Iraq war cakewalk and the financial meltdown and recovery.

Anybody who believes that these monitors just "might not be working" at a time like this is undoubtedly also stupid enough to think that patio furniture is an Irishman.
