the reason for its popularity is because it, to the best of my knowledge, doesn't show up on drug tests. people who don't have a scrip and are on probation or some other testable scenario find that fact very attractive.

Not sure why Miley Cyrus and salvia would be mentioned: I assume because salvia is more dangerous than synthetic marijuana----and the writer of the article wanted to show the hypocrisy in canceling synthetic marijuana and not salvia....To note, I've tried salvia and it is extremely dangerous---it throws your equilibrium off and you feel hot and sticky while having the feeling of falling over (impossible to drive on) **** very similar to when you drink so much that you are off balance. I would've made salvia illegal before synthetic marijuana. But kudos to the DEA for not allowing big pharmeceutical companies to take advantage of synthetic marijuana.
