Scary kidnapping in Simi Valley, the Ventura County town known for being a bedroom community of many an LAPD officer in the 1990s. And authorities say the suspect might be driving a former cop car, too, a white, 2004 Ford Crown Victoria.
That's where the police coincidences end, however. The victim, 24-year-old Keisha Marshall, was taken from her home, allegeldy by an ex-boyfriend, about 9:40 last night, Simi Valley police Lt. Joseph May told reporters.
Officials are concerned because a trail of blood was found at her residence ...
... which is in the 2600 block of Bloom Street.
The suspect was identified as Rashaun Bailey, 27. His white four-door has the Texas plate of BC5B700.
"We believe she may be seriously injured because of the blood in the house,'' May said.
Police think Bailey is a Dallas resident who might be headed back to Texas.
The pair, May said, had a history of domestic violence.
Update: Marshall's parents told CBS2 that she woke up in Las Vegas before being found. Fox 11 News reported she suffered a concussion, among other injuries.
